Community Kitchen
Coming Soon!
The Catford House is more than a pub — it’s a modern social club where everyone feels at home. Managed by GCDA (Greenwich Co-operative Development Agency), it brings together great food, local people, and real community spirit.
We’re planning to open something special upstairs — The Catford House Community Kitchen. It’s a space for learning, sharing, and connection — complementing the social life of the pub below.
A Kitchen for Everyone
This fully equipped, dedicated kitchen will be a space for:
-
Community meals – sharing good food and company.
-
Kitchen hire – supporting local charities, CICs, and community groups.
-
Healthy Cookery Clubs – GCDA’s five-week free course on cooking tasty, affordable, healthy meals.
-
Cookery class hire – for tutors, chefs, and community cooks to run their own sessions.
Built on Experience
For over 40 years, GCDA has helped communities across south London grow healthier and more confident through food.
Our existing kitchens not only support a wide range of culinary classes through a far-reaching Adult Learning programme, but also support groups like Lewisham & Greenwich Migrant Hub and FoodCycle. We also work with The Felix Project to reduce food waste and feed local people.
The new Catford House Community Kitchen will build on this success — bringing the same energy to Lewisham through food, friendship, and local life.
We can’t wait to open the Community Kitchen and welcome you — whether you’d like to join a class, hire the space, or just come for a shared meal.
