Our new garden is here!

The outdoor space was originally designed by Jonathan Cook Landscape Architects to complement future phases of the Catford Town Centre Framework while providing a welcoming area for our lovely customers.

With support from a grant by the Veolia Environmental Trust, GCDA staff have planted the garden with edible herbs and fruit trees that will eventually be used in the kitchen. Cuttings from the plants will also support other local gardening projects.

“Our colleague Karina has played a key role in shaping the garden,” says Kevin Godby, GCDA’s Growing Coordinator. “We’ve planted fruit shrubs and a variety of herbs, creating a lovely space to relax on summer evenings while also promoting biodiversity near the busy South Circular.”

GCDA would like to say a big thank you to Derwen Garden Centre for supplying the plants for the garden.

We look forward to seeing you in the garden!

Please see here for the original garden plan. We have made some alterations due to the availability of the plants etc
