Community Christmas Market

This Saturday 13th December sees our first makers' market at The Catford House. Our Community Christmas Market is on from 12-5pm and it'll be well worth a visit!

Pictured, you can see just a small selection of the local goodies on offer from the likes of Maya Poppy Prints, Kraftism, J Lucas Pottery, Kate Emblem, Rope & More, The Modern Upholsterer, Jo Langthorne Ceramics and Saboon Alee.

In total we're hosting 22 traders, with enough potential presents to fill Santa's sleigh ten times over 🎁.

So come on over to The Catford House and make an afternoon of it. Once you've stocked up on all those festive gifts, why not put your feet up and treat yourself to a welcome pint from one of our local suppliers? Or....wait for it......try some of our street food in the garden....!

Street Food in the Garden

Starting from Friday 12th December, we've got a season of street food traders in The Catford House garden for everyone to enjoy. During the pub's opening hours, on Thursdays through to Sundays, you'll find delicious dishes from a whole host of London-based foodie favourites.

We're kicking off this Friday (12th December) with Tapas Bravas, a family run food business specialising in authentic Spanish tapas and paella using high-quality Spanish products as well as local produce.

On Saturday (13th December) it's time to taste Delice Experience, savoury and sweet vegan food with a French Caribbean twist.

On Sunday (14th December) it's the turn of Forest Hill based Tiki & Spice who create bold, globally inspired vegetarian and vegan bits and bowls.

We're really excited to be able to offer these tasty street food traders a pop-up spot in our garden. We'll have a rolling selection - so do let us know if there are any you'd like us to invite 😍.

Sofa so good?

The ripped sofa - before and after!
The ripped sofa - before and after!

One of our Chesterfield-style sofas has started splitting, so we've had a go at a bit of free-style repair. Call it kintsugi upholstery!

We're not quite sure how long it'll last, and we're no experts, so please - if you've got any other ideas, get in touch! We're open to all creative suggestions ❤️.

New year yarn swap

One for the January de-clutter. If you're a knitter or a crocheter, then have a sort through your stash and come along to this welcome yarn swap at The Catford House in our Georgian Hall. It's a great chance to get rid of any wool you no longer want, and pick up something new for your latest project. Get hints and tips from fellow crafters and have a catch up over a cuppa or a glass of wine. All proceeds go to to Dementia UK. Scan the QR code for your ticket.
