Dear friends and supporters,
Where to start?
First of all - a huge thankyou to everyone who's made it to The Catford House since we opened last week. We've been so humbled by all your support, as well as super-excited to hear just how pleased you are that we're finally up and running. We've already met so many of you since throwing wide the doors, and can't wait to welcome even more of the community over the coming weeks and months.
We've had so many generous donations. From much-loved pieces of family furniture, to cushions, lamps, rugs and plants. One of our former colleagues Sergio, (who helped found GCDA as a co-op more than 40 years ago), popped in on opening night with a house-plant that's nearly half a century old! It's now gracing the gorgeous vintage sideboard that we were gifted by another lovely donor. We appreciate every single one of your thoughtful additions to The Catford House. Thankyou so much.
Coming up

It's hard to believe it, but Christmas is almost upon us! To celebrate we've got festive music with local choir Vocallective who'll be performing in the Georgian Hall on Sunday 30th November at 6pm - just after the switch on of the Catford Christmas tree. You'll also find mulled wine, an alcohol free warm cider and hot chocolate for sale too.
Festive makers' market

Are you a local artist or maker? We're hosting a festive community makers' market at The Catford House on Saturday 13th December from 12 noon - 5pm. Tables will be £10. If you're interested in taking part, please contact marketadmin@gcda.org.uk.
And finally!
We really appreciate everyone's wonderfully generous response to our call out for furnishings to grace The Catford House interior. Your donations have helped turn the pub into a real home from home and we're so grateful. We're still looking for pre-loved Christmas tree decorations, a washing machine and - it's a biggie - velvet curtains to help keep the winter chill at bay! We've got a small budget if anyone knows of any going spare. Please contact thecatfordhouse@gcda.org.uk if you can help.
THANKYOU SO MUCH - we can't wait to spend Christmas with our community!
