About the event
Want to level up your sewing skills and give leftover fabric a new life? Join us for five weeks of scrappy sewing, where we turn offcuts, scraps and repurposed materials into unique, creative makes. You can drop in for a single session or commit to the full five and really grow your skills (and shrink your stash).
Each workshop is led by maker, upcycler and author Mary Jane Baxter, whose playful, “why not try it?” approach to sewing is perfect for unlocking your creativity. Expect relaxed vibes, a sociable atmosphere, hands-on learning, and projects that are as planet-friendly as they are fun.
We have six places available per session. Sewing machines will be provided.
This course is priced at £10 a session. If you feel you can afford a little more, you can pay it forward for a community member who might not be able to join.
NB Participants MUST bring their own sewing kit of scissors, thread, pins, measuring tape and tailor’s chalk or fabric marking pen. Please…
